The University of West Florida Campus Master Plan Update process began in Spring 2021 and will conclude in Fall 2022 with adoption by the UWF Board of Trustees and the Florida Board of Governors. The schedule below provides an overview of the planning process, with descriptions of what will occur during each phase.

Integrate prior planning studies into campus analysis diagrams
Review existing campus development guidelines
Big Ideas Workshop with targeted stakeholders and focus groups
Develop campus concepts and alternatives
Generate alternatives for development framework, including open space network, high-level circulation strategies, and infrastructure systems
Synthesize the site plan
Prioritize needs and adjacencies
Identify short-, mid- and long-term priority projects
Develop preliminary phasing, funding sources, and budgetary estimates
Refine site plan alternatives for flexible framework planning
Finalize priorities, next steps, and multi-phase strategies in a roadmap for realization
Generate cost model
Submit Draft Master Plan Report
Prepare final graphics of future campus for fundraising and communications
Finalize BIM model of proposed Campus Master Plan
Draft Campus Master Plan reports for campus, community, and BOT review
Final presentation adoption and approval
Deliver Final Master Plan Report
