Campus Master Plan Update Home / Committees

Committees and Focus Groups

As part of the UWF Campus Master Plan, standing committees and focus groups drive and inform the planning process. Key to the planning process will be the frequent touchpoints with these groups. In addition to these committees, interviews with university leadership, meetings with school and division leadership teams will occur, and presentations to key constituency groups and public open houses.

Steering Committee: The UWF Campus Master Plan Steering Committee is a University-approved group of stakeholders that participate in active planning and brainstorming sessions throughout the planning process with the campus planning team. This group will drive final decisions from the start to the finish of a campus master planning process.

University President's Cabinet:
Selected by the President, the senior leadership team known as the President's Cabinet counsels on issues and will play a vital role in decisions relating to the Campus Master Plan.

Focus Groups for the UWF Campus Master Plan consist of specific stakeholder groups who provide insights and  observations geared towards particular topic areas. Throughout the planning process, the focus groups assess opportunities and challenges while providing informed decision-making. A successful plan is built with critical input from students, faculty, staff, administrators, and community members. All these voices play crucial roles in the development of the campus master plan.

The two additional focus groups will include:
Focus Group 01 - Student Experience Group: Focused primarily on student life and success.

Focus Group 02 - Academic Experience Group: Focused primarily on academic strategic goals and future growth in support of students, faculty, and staff.
